Episode 20: Rianne – Netherlands, UK, Belgium 

“Some years you just feel like you’re battling through, but God is using it for His purposes.”

When I hear Rianne’s story, I can’t help but think of Abraham when the Lord said, “I want you to leave your homeland and go to a place where I will show you.”

As a young woman, she left her home country of the Netherlands, her language and her culture and followed the next step the Lord had for her.  She spent a few years in the UK, met her husband, spent time serving the Lord in Brazil and then found herself in yet another new culture in Belgium.  Often, she headed off to a new country without language skills or finances.  Yet fear is not part of her story.  She is so confident in the Father’s great love and plan for her that she has boldly followed Him anywhere.  Each turn brought it’s own set of challenges, but our God met them each so beautifully, because when we are weak, He is strong.

Our time together concludes with the story of her youngest daughter’s birth.  She faced many challenges, but the Lord met each and every one of her requests, big and small, to bless her with a life changing birth experience.
